What is the dosage and how should it be used?
Glipizide comes in tablets to take by mouth.
It is usually taken once a day, 30 minutes before breakfast.
Take each dose with a full glass of water.
The Glucotrol XL® extended release tablets (glipizide extended release tablets) should be swallowed whole. Do not chew, divide, or crush the tablets.
Take glipizide exactly as directed by your doctor. Do not take more or less of it, or take it more often, than what has been prescribed by your doctor.
